The FSSAI license has to be obtained by every person who participates in the food industry whether he/she is Manufacturer of Processor or Retailer or Wholesaler or Importer or Transporter of food.   Whether Petty Manufacturer, Wholesaler, Retailer, Distributer, Food vending services, Storage etc.   

1. The petty food business operator whose turnover is less than 12 lakhs per anum, will have to go for registration and pay a fees of Rs.100/-. 

2. Pre-requisite for registration is trade license is mandatory.

The registering authority shall consider the application, either grant or reject the application or issue notice of inspection within 7 days of receipt of application for registration. In the event of inspection being ordered within 7 days, then, registration certificate will be issued within 30 days. 

 The purpose of and IEC is for all exporters and importers who doing business with other Countries. The code is a pre-requisite for exporting or Importing and to avail the benefits extended by the Government. The code is basically issued by Directorate General of Foreign trade (DGFT) through an online process.  

Note: IEC given is nothing but your PAN number, the DGFT Does not given any other unique number as IEC.

1. The Private Limited Company has to do their Annual Filings irrespective of what is the turnover. In other words, nil turnover also warrants a Company to file the return.  The Company has to file the income tax return on 30th September of every year. The Annual filings report all data relating the Company Financials, the Boards Comments on the financials, the Auditors Comments and also the Shareholding of a Company at the year-end closing.
